Tompkins Forest explores the interconnection of nature, people, and the city environment in a dense, urban park. Surreal details of nature — both tamed and overgrown, mirror people and create a dreamlike idea of our relationship to the natural world. These photographs were made during the summer of 2022 in Tompkins Square Park — located in the East Village of Manhattan, New York City.
